Hey Gearz, you asked about how i made my box. I couldnt get on here the last few days. But basically It took a lot of prototypes and different versions to get to this. I actually didnt think i would be able to make a window box but its quite simple really.

I print out the box artwork on paper then glue it to my coloured card. Then i cut around the net printed on the paper to get the box and i cut the hole out for the window. Then i cover the net with sticky backed plastic/book covering. Cut that again and fold it around all the edges. Then I cut a peice of clear Acetate to just a bit smaller than the insides of the front of the box and glue gun it in. Then i just glue the box togethor. :o)

I hope that explains it ok.

thanks for your photo comment Gearz. :o) Im really proud of how sharp i got the lines. I did the lines in green and just had a pot of the pink paint on standby for when i splodged paint out of the pencil lines i'd drawn haha. There was a few swear words uttered a couple of times when i splodged :P

Fyoog 2.0 is no more.

The mold for Fyoog 2.0 officially broke down. I was casting blank versions and after only two the mold tore beyond usability. So the remaining Fyoogs that I have in stock are all that there will be.

When these are gone, they're gone so order them n

Fyoog is ready to go!

At long last, after a year of work, 25 Fyoogs are waiting for new homes.

They can be purchased from my website: www.spasticploon.com

Just go to the store and add one to the cart.

I did a custom on my own toy. Is that possible?

I couldn't resist customizing one of my Fyoogs. I decided to give a Fyoog the look of an abandoned toy left forgotten for decades to rust away on a shelf.

Check my photos for the results.

Another bump in the road for poor little Fyoog.

Two bumps actually. I've only just become aware that Fyoog's right arm (left from our perspective) is too far back and the latest mold has a small tear in it. That is what I get for using a low durometer 1:1 RTV silicon mold.

Since I'm going to have to make a new mold anyway, I'm going to re sculpt Fyoog with a corrected arm. I will also be using a 10:1 high durometer RTV for this next version.

This setback means a few more weeks before Fyoog can be produced. Sad.

Fyoog is getting noticed

Seems like only a couple of days ago that I posted pictures of Fyoog on a few message boards.

Since then he has appeared as a blurb on plasticandplush and Dave Pressler has given his opinion on the toy at kidrobot's discussion board.

I even recieved an email from a german toy store asking me for a pricelist!

Meanwhile, I've run out of resin (waiting for an order which I should get early next week) and the packaging is providing some challenges of its own.

I'm… Continue
